How do we slit metal coils into strips?
We use coil slitting line for slitting sheet metals (e.g. steel sheets) from wide coils to smaller width pieces. Standard slitting machines consists of several machinery units such as slitting unit decoiler, blades, pit table, scrap winder, separating and tensioning unit, over arm separator, recoiler and exit coil car. 1. Roll slitting: Uncoiling: The process begins by feeding a large steel coil into the machine. The coil is placed on an uncoiler, which unwinds the steel, preparing it for the slitting process. The machine handles the weight and size of the steel coil, feeding it smoothly into the next stage.
