The material that has a high corrosion resistance in an aggressive environment ( such as sea and river water, air, acids, salt etc.) is stainless steel metal.

“Stainless” refers to steel, which must contain minimum 10.5% chromium. The chromium is highly important because it forms a thin layer of chromium oxide on the surface of the metal, protecting it from corrosion. A larger amount of chromium content can be found in acid-resistant steel, for the production of which other alloying elements are also used. High strength, excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, formability and  machinability properties are making stainless steel a choice number one for variety of industries for various applications.

There are martensitic stainless steel (common grades in this family are 410 and 416) , ferritic (common grades of ferritic stainless steel are 430 and 439.)and austenitic stainless steel (common grades in austenitic steel are 316 and 304).
